One old roll. Three new witnesses. A wall that finally tells the truth.

The apartment has been reduced to tape, dust and decisions when Celia opens the last kitchen drawer. Inside: one roll of film in a paper envelope, undeveloped and labeled only with a number. The neighborhood's final one-hour counter closes at six. Celia leaves in the striped cotton maxi she put on for a day of packing, adding her beige linen-blend blazer as if structure might keep the afternoon orderly. Maris takes the stairs ahead in blue cotton-gauze shorts, a green plaid flannel and black collarless blazer under one arm. Nia follows with the camera, blue denim smocking above a blue floral wrap skirt, while Celia carries a gray open-knit sweater for later. They reach the counter in time. Processing will take an hour, so they use the surviving reference notes to cross the surrounding blocks: the apartment stairwell, the bus shelter, the site of a wall demolished years before. Celia aligns shoulders and sightlines. Maris makes each rigid arrangement move faster. Nia stays behind the camera, measuring her family against places that refuse to stay still. ### Before Six

### The City Has Moved
